Best piece of creative work prior to enrolling in Arch Comp
This is an internal render of a house I modeled with the open source 3d modelling suite Blender in 2008. It was originally to be directly modeled on these houses, however, I began to diverge from the design, particularly the exterior design after I became bored of directly replicating it. It would probably be more appropriate to title this my 'only piece of creative work prior to enrolling in arch comp'. Furthermore it's more a piece of technical work rather than creative.
Though not necessarily 'great' in a traditional architectural sense of the word, I particularly like Yasuhiro Yamashita's 'Reflection of Mineral'. Located near the centre of Tokyo, the residence was built in 2006 in response to a client's desire to have a roofed garaged. Whimsical yet logical, minimalistic yet spacious, this building stands out to me as an ingenious and beautiful piece of architecture.
